Bexhill Down Afternoon Townswomen's Guild - July 25
The weather has been kind to the Guild Ramblers, enabling them to enjoy walks in Hastings Old Town, Rye Harbour Reserve and Eastbourne where they admired splendid Victorian architecture and churches in Meads Village.
Reading for Pleasure found much to read on rivers, from the Nile known as the River of Life to our own Ouse and the Thames. "Fun" was a more difficult theme. Gone are the fun days of street parties, Empire Day celebrations etc as today's children prefer on-line activities and computer games.
