EARTH WORKS
Mole oh Mole, what have you doneIn a long zig-zagged continuous runAll through the garden and beneath the seatNow craters have appeared beneath my feet.
As a creature you are industrious, of that there's no doubt
But today I'm not happy, and wish you were OUT
Of works in the area that my garden is,
Instead of your digging getting me in a tizz.
Please Mole, if you are wishing to excavate more
It would please me much if you went furthermore
To continue your exploits in some other place
Where your earthworks do not matter, and no need to erase.
