Sound of Music at Horsham
The beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical is packed with timeless classics like ‘Edelweiss’, ‘Climb Every Mountain’ and ‘Do-Re-Mi’.
Be taken back to your childhood with the story of Maria, the failed nun-turn-governess who brings music and adventure to the seven Von Trapp children and their father whom she falls in love with.

This is not the first time HAODS have put on this production.
Barry Syder, chairman of HAODS, said: “The last time HAODS produced this musical was in 1994. Back then, Caron Ireland played one of the Von Trapp children and we are absolutely delighted that she has returned, this time to take on the lead role of Maria. We have a fantastic cast, great music and even puppets!”
Yvonne Chadwell, who directed the society’s last show Oliver! is aiming for a second huge success with ‘Sound of Music’.

“Unfortunately, our budgets don’t allow such frivolities. However, we can promise an evening full of lovely songs and well-known characters – Maria and the seven dwarves. Sorry, children – wrong show!
“We do have one or two surprises up our sleeve with some of the additional songs from the film (‘I Have Confidence and ‘Something Good) and a visit by a few goats.”
The production boasts stunning costumes and sets, a professional orchestra and a cast of children and adults prepared to fill the theatre with the Sound of Music.
