VIDEO: ‘Discreet’ solar farm planned for Partridge Green
Hadstone Energy Ltd, which is aiming to submit a planning application to Horsham District Council before the end of the year, hosted an exhibition at the village hall yesterday (Tuesday December 3).
The aim of the exhibition was to answer any questions that people may have about the planned development at Priors Byne Farm, off Honeybridge Lane.

“I hope they would be quite pleased with what we need to do to make it work for the community.”
Ms Siddons said the company was hoping people would approve of the plans.
The solar panels would be 2.5m high on a site covering 18 hectares.

“It has a very low visual impact and that is why we like this site.”
She added construction will take three months.
John Ford is a farmer and owns the site at Priors Byne.
He said: There are no houses that can see it and it is very discreet.
“Agriculture is marginal in our area, farming in Sussex is difficult so something like this does give us the opportunity to diversify and make the farm pay better.”
