Reception children at Loxwood School have been learning how to ride balance bikes. They received a daily session on the school playground to improve their confidence. Their class teacher said: 'It is good that they do balance biking because it helps their physical development. It is also good for them to learn to get instructions from a different teacher as well.'
Mr Winter, from the West Sussex balance bikes scheme, said that the balance bikes will help them have the balance to ride a real bike and that the children enjoyed the new experience. George, a pupil, said: “I enjoy going really fast because they bounce!” Lily added: “The balance bikes will help me with a lot of things including riding proper bikes and balancing.” Report written by Emily and Phoebe, the Loxwood School journalists.
