A-LEVELS 2015: Chichester high school sixth form celebrates

“Once again students at the Chichester High School Sixth Form have covered themselves in glory,” said a spokeswoman from the school.
“A record number of students have gained a place at university and can now start to prepare themselves for the next exciting step in their careers.”

Hide AdAmong the successful students was Nishita Bhatt, who will go to the University of Bath to study biomedical sciences.
The 18-year-old was one of the few coming into school earlier who had not been able to find out if she had made her university place on UCAS.
“I actually couldn’t log on,” she said. “It crashed. I walked in not knowing if I had got in or not.
“It was pretty scary. My heart was beating quite fast and I was relieved I got what I wanted.”

Hide AdShe got two A*s for maths and chemistry and a B for biology.
“It’s such a hard course to get onto so we’re really over the moon for her,” said head of sixth form Vickie Smith.
“It’s been a really lovely feeling today. Lots of smiles and excited students.”
She went on: “The students have made fantastic progress and we’re really happy.”

Hide AdThere were 44-per-cent of students gaining an A*-B grade and there are two students heading to Oxford.
Jolyon Dannatt achieved four A*s and has been offered a place to read economics and management
Joe Adelinia achieved four A*s as well and has been offered a place to read physics.
“We’re really excited for them,” said Ms Smith.
“Almost every student I’ve spoken to has got into university which is fantastic progress and we’re really happy.”
