A private treaty to purchase Oakwood West in West Ashling will cost you around £560,000 including sporting rights for activites such as shooting and stalking.
Forestry agent John Clegg & Co stated there has been strong interest in the freehold site, part of which dates back to around 1600.

Hide AdThe woodland stretches from Ashling Lodge to Osiers Farm and encompasses the ‘Chichester Dykes’, a series of earthworks scheduled as an archeological monument.
Part of the forest is designated as a Plantation on an Ancient Woodland Site (PAWS), with a small area classified as Ancient and Semi-natural woodland (ASNW).
Around a third of the wood is broadleaved, with oak, ash, hazel, hemlock and Scots pine amid the species identified across the 83.99 acre patch.
Sales agent John Clegg said: “The market for woods and commercial plantations throughout the UK has strengthened considerably in the past two years.
