The Map was originally installed in 2000 as part of the Millennium celebrations but recently the front has become weather damaged and needed replacing. The Parish Council commissioned the new artwork. Children were asked to provide a drawing or word which they felt best described why they loved living in Burwash. Over 80 children provided art on individual tiles which now make a spectacular facing to the Burwash Map in the centre of the High Street.
