Battling gladiators for charity at annual Gauntlet Games
The games are now in their second year here and this year was the first time Home-Start CHAMS has benefitted from being the event’s official charity partner.
Participants fought with gladiators along the 5km course, as well as bounced and slid their way through all kinds of crazy obstacles. Some were there supporting Home-Start while others were taking part to raise funds for other charities including Young Epilepsy and Age UK.

“Our volunteers were amazing - from helping people slide down the ‘Flume of Doom’ to handing out finishing medals, they thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”
Thanks to the fundraising efforts of their supporters, as well as donations made by people at the Games, Home-Start were pleased to announce just over £1,500 has been raised so far.
The charity reaches hundreds of children in Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex each year through their support of families struggling with issues such as isolation, neglect, illness, bereavement and disability. Last year they supported 436 children in 175 families.
