Hide AdAllis’s talk was at Littlehampton Library, in Maltravers Road, the day before Remembrance Sunday, to mark 100 years since the outbreak of the 1914-18 war.
Speaking of her book, she said: “I spoke to people with family members who had fought in the trenches of the Western Front who recounted their stories.
“In the Second World War, there was the children’s home run by the wonderful nuns of St Joseph’s and the Army intelligence unit based in Littlehampton under the command of Ian Fleming.”
‘Jigsaw Journey’ is published by MusicPrint.
It is priced at £4.99 and is now available on Amazon as well as at outlets across the area.
