Brighton MP to stand down as Green Party co-leader
The MP revealed the move in The Guardian newspaper.
On Twitter this morning, she said: “I’m not re-standing for co-leadership of @TheGreenParty.
“So proud to have done the co-leadership thing with @jon_bartley - and to leave the party representing people in more places than ever.
“Thanks to everyone for the support. Onwards!”

Hide AdMs Lucas had shared the role of Green Party leader with Jonathan Bartley since 2016, and she also served as sole leader of the party between 2008 and 2012. She was first elected as MP for Brighton Pavilion in 2010, and remains The Green Party’s only MP.
