“The removal of special measures in less than 12 months is a great achievement and is due to the hard work and commitment of Worthing High staff, students, parents and carers.”
Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, said: “I am very pleased to hear that Worthing High School has been taken out of special measures and is clearly on a strong and speedy road to recovery.
“Carolyn Dickinson and her team have done an excellent job to bring this about in a relatively short period of time and I am sure this will give great reassurance to parents and students who have shown great patience and understanding as the management team at the school, helped by a number of impressive new members of staff, have faced up to the challenges.
