“I have completed 112 marathons and run about 38 different distances a year, including triathlons and adventure races.
“I run because it de-stresses me from normal day-to-day problems.
“I run for various charities including JDRF which is a personal charity as my daughter suffers with type one diabetes.

“In my early days I raised thousands for the heart foundation but sponsors are hard to find when they know you can do it so I set a minimum target of £1,000, anything extra is a bonus.”
Nick will have been trekking for some three weeks before he reaches Everest base camp on November 30.
He is raising money for the Nepalese Schools rebuild fund following the catastrophic earthquakes there earlier this year, and Over the Wall, a charity supported by Westbourne Primary School where Nick works as a premises officer.

Nick will have access to wifi so will be sending back postcard blogs and photos to the students at Westbourne Primary, who will be charting his progress.
