Community celebrates harvest at Winchelsea
Alan McKinna, from the church, said: “We welcomed many visitors who admired an impressive display of floral and horticultural art with nearly thirty creations representing individuals, clubs and societies in the town and parish.
“Much creative work had gone into this festival which included not only a Harvest Festival Eucharist led by Archdeacon Philip Jones on Sunday and, on Saturday evening, a classical concert by the Webb family trio from Mersham in Kent which included Gabriel (12) on the violin and Emmanuel (8) on the cello “The Festival gave the Church another opportunity to say thanks to the community for all that they had produced together as a celebration of all that goes with harvest.”

The final highlight was St. Thomas’ Primary School’s Harvest Service on Tuesday morning - this brought together a packed congregation of children, staff and families led in worship by the Reverend David Page, Chairman of the School Governors.
