Community groups encouraged to apply for funding

The fund supports existing projects, or aids the startup of new projects which focus on any one of five key priorities: promoting health & wellbeing in the local community; promoting community involvement and volunteering opportunities; targeting inequalities and deprivation; increasing partnership working between organisations and Promoting the regeneration of the district.
Adur District Council supports groups through community funding, up to £5,000 for projects that meet the required criteria and are finally selected.

Hide AdCouncillor David Simmons, executive member for Adur District Council, said: “Adur enjoys a number of excellent community and voluntary groups across the district and I have had the pleasure of meeting, working with and helping many of them. What they all have in common is the need for funds to finance their excellent work.
