‘Inappropriate’ images of Crawley students shared on Instagram

Headteacher of Thomas Bennett, Stuart Smith, said the school had been made aware of a social media account which contained ‘inappropriate images’ of young people.
He added: “In keeping with our safeguarding policy/ procedures, we immediately informed the Police force who are now investigating.

Hide Ad“The safety of our pupils is our prime concern and we will cooperate with police and families to provide all the support that is needed.”
A police spokesman said: “The Instagram account has been taken down and a police investigation is underway. Anyone with information is asked to report online or call 101 quoting 47200171027. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers online (www.crimestoppers-uk.org) or 0800 555 111.”
