At just after 4.30pm on Tuesday 30 March, a customer, a 42-year-old local man, was outside the Wick Express store in Wick Road, Littlehampton, waiting his turn to enter in a socially distanced manner, when another man brushed past him and went straight into the store, said police. When the customer challenged this behaviour a fight broke out in which the customer was punched to the head and the suspect was seen to produce a hunting style knife before leaving and cycling off towards the town centre. The customer sustained grazes to his hand and head.
And police have released an image of a man they want to speak to about the attack.
