More people offered suspicious goods in Hastings

A couple were staying at Hastings Touring Park when the man offered generators, power tools and strimmers from the back of his van on Sunday, August 2.
The man, who wanted to remain anonymous, said a number of caravans had been approached by the salesman.

Hide AdA number of people have reported being visited by a man selling suspicious goods in 1066 Country.
A man working in Little Ridge Avenue, Hastings, was approached by a young man with an Irish accent saying he had generators, machinery and pressure washers for sale.
The vehicle was described as silver, probably a Nissan but larger than a transit.
A man with a strong Irish accent called at a farm in Catsfield offering generators, jet washers and knives and was reported to be driving a white Transit van.

Hide AdThe informant spoke to a nearby friend who said she also had been visited by Irish men offering the same goods but they were in a Blue Transit van.
Police received a call from a resident in North Trade Road, Battle, saying he had been offered the same goods from the back of a silver Mercedes Sprinter van.
