Police run ‘speed checks’ in Rye
Officers said they have been running speed checks in Rye after reports of ‘speeding and anti-social driving.’
Rother Police said on their social media pages today (August 2) that checks were carried out in Winchelsea Road and New Road.
A Rother Police spokesperson said: “Continuing speed checks after reports of speeding and anti-social driving in Winchelsea Road and New Road in Rye.
“Words of advice given to two drivers about their speed and a motorist stopped for 40mph in a 30mph resulting in a Traffic Offence Report.”
