Cuckfield school closed to students due to ‘boiler breakdown’

In a statement on its website, Dom Kenrick, headteacher at the school in Broad Street, said: “Immediate school closure for Years 7 to 10 due to boiler breakdown (Monday, January 28).
“The academy will remain open for Year 11 students but will close with immediate effect for Years 7 to 10 inclusive.

The school said it will be fully open tomorrow following the boilure failure.
Anne Stoneley said: “The academy will be fully open on Tuesday (January 29), after the boiler failure affecting large parts of the school and our catering facilities.
“What we were able to do was keep one year group and run a proper service. With Year 11 being in the run up to their exams they were priortised today.
