‘Disappointing’ as safety sign at Peacehaven cliff pulled off

Police said it was ‘disappointing’ to see a safety sign near a cliff top in Peacehaven had been pulled off.
Such signs were important and could save lives, a spokesman said.
Lewes Police said in the tweet: “Disappointing to see that a safety sign on the cliffs has been pulled off.
“Please be aware that this can save a life!

“If you see someone doing this please notify 101 so that our teams can engage and educate the importance of this sign.”
In response, Lewes District Council said: “Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This has been reported and we are actively working to get the signs put back up.”
