Our second fringe concert on May 28th, at 5:30pm is a change to the original published programme and is a collection of settings of Shakespeare songs and sonnets from 16th to 20th century, sung by Sue Mileham accompanied by Nicola Grunberg, should be excellent.
Barbecue: On Sunday we gathered in the vicarage garden to enjoy a barbecue. The weather was not promising, it was decidedly chilly and overcast, however as time went on, the charcoal heated up, the skies cleared and the sun came out and a jolly time was had by all. Burgers, sausages, chicken and veggy options, plus loads of salads and bread were consumed. All this was followed by desserts: a mountainous bowl of fresh fruit salad, sherry trifle, rhubarb crumble and lovely scones with cream, jam and fresh strawberries! Apart from the food we even had live music provided from Jamie Watson, giving us some lovely chilled-out relaxing songs. We waddled home stuffed and happy.

Hide AdFootball: It is sad that Brighton and Hove Albion just missed out on their promotion. There was a huge turnout of fans to see the game against Sheffield Wednesday last Monday and it was obvious that feelings were running high. The roars and chanting were loud enough to carry across the A27 to our house and it was difficult to tell what was happening. We had to check online to realise that the move up was not happening, for this season anyway.
