Firefighters tackle Battle house blaze after flames spotted coming from bathroom window

Four crews from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to a home in Marley Gardens yesterday afternoon (December 19).

A spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Battle, Bexhill, The Ridge and Bohemia Road were sent to Marley Gardens, after reports of a house fire were received at 14:01 today.

“They were supported by the aerial ladder platform from Bohemia Road.

“The call came from a member of the public who spotted flames coming from a bathroom window.
