The exciting learning experience was designed to give them opportunities to ask some of life’s big questions.
Head teacher Naomi Day said: “The final verse of the When I Grow Up song from the Matilda musical really sums up beautifully exactly why we designed this learning experience for our children at Fishbourne.

“With the incredible support of parents, our local community and Chichester College, we provided the children with lots of irresistible experiences to learn more about themselves.”
The week began with a special assembly where the children heard from a range of famously inspiring people via video link – Tim Peake, Barrack Obama and Michael Morpurgo to name just a few.
A group of 120 older pupils visited Kidzania in London to experience a vast range of careers. Back at school, they were then able to chatter informally with visitors during a careers afternoon.

It was lovely to see the faces of children who were hanging on the every word of our visitors and asking some very challenging and interesting questions.”
The children also spent a day at Chichester College, to get a feel for some of the courses on offer through hands-on activities.
For the younger children, a varied range of experiences were provided in the school. Chichester College and parent volunteers give them a taste of different jobs.
“They had the sorts of experiences that they will never ever forget and this, we believe, is exactly what learning should be all about,” explained Mrs Day.
