Christine Purkiss, from Ninfield Flower group, said: “Two years ago we raised around £3500 and gave £3000 to the Sara Lee Trust.

“The festival will be officially opened by Lucky, who is one of the Medical Assistance dogs whose owner has type 1 diabetes and Lucky helps him when there is a danger of him going into a coma. The other part of the detection charity is that of sniffing out cancer cells – with great success.
“To give you a taste of the plans for the ‘On the Box’ festival, the interpretative arrangements will include The Weather Forecast, Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, Game of Thrones, The Great British Bake-Off and many others. There will also be a chance for the visitors to vote for the ‘People’s Choice’ award.”
Ninfield Memorial Hall is situated on Bexhill Road.
Admission to the show is £2 per person. Refreshments will be available over the weekend and there will be a plant stall, books and bric-a-brac as well as a raffle and tombola.
