One man has so far been arrested in connection with the theft after he allegedly tried to use one of the players credit cards to buy a television in Brighton later that afternoon.
Climping FC secretary Kay Weller said: "I felt so sorry for them. All the players were devastated."

Kay found out about the break-in just after 2pm from a spectator, who spotted the smashed windows.
The players were said to have been horrified by what they saw and play was abandoned at half-time with Climping 3-0 down, so that they could cancel their credit cards and contact the police.
Kay said the team was told afterwards that this was one in a long line of similar incidents.
She said: "Apparently, this has been happening a lot over there, but we knew nothing about it. I wish we had been informed about this."
