Former pub landlord named locally as victim of East Worthing train incident
British Transport Police were alerted to the incident at 6am, and attended with Sussex Police.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A file has been prepared for the coroner.
Mr Chuter was formerly the landlord of the Duke of Wellington, in Brighton Road, Shoreham.

Hide AdHis friend, and current landlord of the pub, Brodie Dawson, said he would be ‘sorely missed’.
He said: “I knew him very well. He was a larger than life character, who was an absolutely biblically knowledgeable Brighton and Hove Albion fan. He will be sorely missed.”
