Further strike shuts Littlehampton Crown post office again
LITTLEHAMPTON’S Crown post office, in The Arcade, was closed again today (Wednesday, July 17) by the latest in a series of strikes by the Communication Workers’ Union (CWU.)
The union is organising a series of strikes against proposals to move many Crown post offices, including Littlehampton’s, into ‘partner’ businesses such as convenience stores.
Thousands of people in the town have signed a petition, started by the Labour party but now backed by all the main parties, opposing the relocation from The Arcade.
