Get ready to paddle round the pier
The annual paddle has grown from a group of 55 surfers to a mainstay of the Brighton summer, attracting more than 40,000 visitors in 2017.
Taking in the sea and the Paddle Village on the lawns, the weekend features a packed programme of watersports, three entertainment stages, food and drink stalls and live entertainment.

“Paddle this year brings together the traditional swimming, sailing and surfing community with local Brighton businesses to allow us to offer even more activities than ever.”
The Paddle Something Unusual event sees teams paddling bizarre contraptions around the West Pier at midday on Sunday, followed by the main paddle itself.
There will also be a world record attempt for the most dogs on paddle boards, each wearing a tiny life jacket.
