There was a variety of classes, ranging from best mane and tail to the horse or pony the judge would like to take home, at each of the fun shows, one of which was held in August and one in September.
Carla Pay, organiser and riding instructor, said: “Both fun shows were a huge success, the riders were able to put their hard work into practice and all looked fantastic in their show outfits.

The competition heated up during the afternoon, when riders battled it out with gymkhana games, cheered on by the crowd of spectators.
It was an afternoon of fun, speed and skill at Slonk Hill Farm and to end the day, a clear round was entered by the riders who put their practice to the test.
The weather was perfect for both days, so the crowd was able to enjoy refreshments and a barbecue in the picnic areas.

The children slept in tents and learned many equine skills, including plenty of riding over the beautiful Sussex Downs.
Carla added: “Each week, Happy Valley Riding School also ran Stable Days – a perfect way for our younger riders to learn all the aspects of looking after a horse and then the best part of having a riding lesson.”
Stable Days are run every school holiday. The next one is Wednesday, October 26.
