Horsham town centre roadworks delayed by a week
The roadworks, along Albion Way, started at the beginning of August and the first stage of improvements were expected to be completed by September 6.
However, West Sussex County Council has announced today (September 7) due to heavy rain the works have over-run and will take an extra week to complete.

Hide AdA spokesperson for the council said: “The developer over-ran because of wet weather two weeks ago.
“The excavations were swamped and could not be pumped dry to allow work to continue.
“The developer will now be completing the work this week and will be re-opening traffic lanes on Sunday September 13.
“The new lights to the junction will be installed in the following week.”
The new light installation is expected to last two weeks.
Overnight closures are planned for the following two weeks to resurface the road.
