IN PICTURES: Car crashes into Worthing Hospital

Two cars are understood to have collided in the hospital car park, with one then smashing through the iron railings and into the wall of the medical facility at around 4.30pm.
Three fire crews were called to the scene – two from Worthing and one from Shoreham.

Hide AdReports had initially suggested that there were casualties trapped in the car, but a West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “However, when we arrived there were no persons trapped.
“One elderly lady was assisted from her vehicle.
“She is receiving a precautionary check at the hospital.”
Two people were treated for minor injuries at Worthing’s Accident & Emergency unit.
