King Canutes neededfor Bognor Regis beach event
The would-be wave stoppers can help at the first staging of Hell and High Water.
This is being held from midday onwards on September 13 to the east of the pier.

Hide AdOrganisers at Bognor Regis Town Council need support from the local community for the family fun afternoon to be a success.
Volunteers are needed to help on the day. Lifejackets and paddles are required along with children's prizes and general sponsorships.

Hell and High Water was devised by local cartoonist and jigsaw designer Mike Jupp with the theme of King Canute.

Hide AdActivities include a boat race, for teams of four, a hobby horse steeplechase for the over-18s and a jigsaw puzzle contest at the water's edge.
Children will have the chance to pluck a duck from the edge of the water, dress as King Canute or enter the King Canute drawing competition.
