Last bank in Felpham is soon to close
The bank is axing its Felpham Road outlet on August 17 to leave the village without a bank.
The nearest are in Bognor Regis town centre about 1.5 miles away.

Hide AdFelpham parish councillor Connie Reid has banked with Barclays for about 40 years.
She said: “There were three banks in Felpham when I moved here with my late husband some 34 years ago. Now, we will not be left with a single one. It’s a terrible shame. The closure will not just affect elderly people.
“There are a lot of young mums who don’t want to have to go all the way into Bognor to do some banking.
“The staff in the Felpham branch are excellent. I believe there are five of them and they are all going when it shuts.”

Hide AdMichael Harvey, a fellow parish council member, said: “The bank closure will have a devastating effect on that part of Felpham.
“A lot of people use that area and the bank will be missed. It will do Felpham a lot of harm.”
He hoped the council would formally protest about the closure at its June meeting.
