Man bailed over Marine Court death

Emergency services were called to Marine Court on Marina in St Leonards at around 9am on Monday (March 13) to a report a man had fallen from a flat.
A 93-year-old man was sadly declared dead at the scene.
A 54-year-old man from St Leonards, who is known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Hide AdSussex Police has released the suspect on bail until May 10 while the investigation continues.
A post mortem on the victim is due to take place today (Wednesday, March 15).
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Ashcroft, from Sussex Police, said: “We have been in touch with the 93-year-old’s family and are providing them with support during this time.
“We are working to establish which floor he fell from and the events leading up to his death.

Hide Ad“The suspect and victim are known to each other and we are not looking for anyone else. At this time we are treating his death as unexplained.
