Manager takes on 26-mile hike despite recent hip operation
Sara Gibb, 55, from Sompting, raised more than £1,100 for Cancer Research UK through the Race For Life Hike across the South Downs.
She has worked for Bio-Productions – a cleaning chemicals company – at Victoria Industrial Estate in Victoria Road since moving to Sussex from Cambridgeshire last year.

Hide AdShe entered the event in January and began her training, but just four months later, she underwent a hip operation at the Horder Centre near Crowborough, the business said.
She told the Middy: “The operation did get in the way of my routine. But I was determined to still enter, although I admit that I walked rather than hiked for some of the way.”
She said raising funds with through the walk from Falmer to Eastbourne meant a lot to her, having lost several close friends and family members to cancer.
Angela Gill, managing director at Bio-Productions, which has helped Sara boost her sponsorship with initiatives including a dress down Friday, added: “Sara’s enthusiasm and commitment to the event has been amazing.
