Mary's house let it go with Disneythemed fun dayenjoyed by all....
The Disney Day included visits from many residents’ friends and family. Helen Chantler, Acting Deputy Home Manager, says it was great fun for all who attended. “Residents, staff and some visitors, dressed up as Disney characters,” she said. “We had a competition for the best dressed person with first prize being kindly donated by Emma Hellier’s hair Salon.”
Helen says rooms had a Disney theme with decorations and crafts created by residents and staff. “A Disney Princess room was dedicated to films such as Cinderella, Snow White and Beauty and the Beast. It also had a pamper station where residents could get their nails done and have a spa treatment. The sensory kitchen was transformed into Ratatouille’s kitchen where residents made cakes and pastries for lunch. We had Disney karaoke which the residents loved and also many family members did to.
