Mural artists bring seaside fun to Haywards Heath school
St Paul’s pre-school invited Julie McDonald and Jayne Crow, two mums who run small business A Touch of Magic Murals, to create a seaside scene next to its sandpit.
The artists designed the mural, creating a beach scene with a lighthouse, boats, buckets and spades, shark, and starfish.

Julie and Jayne built a shelter to work under, and despite some challenges in the process of creation, Julie said that this has been her favourite mural yet because it reminding her of her own childhood in Brighton.
She said: “Every time I went, it felt like I wasn’t in a town, by a shed. I was by the sea.”
The mural, which took 77 working hours to finish, was completed in August.
