Hide AdDr Griffin, consultant in elderly medicine, who leads the new clinic '“ which is open on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am to 1.30pm '“ said: "This is a real benefit for patients in terms of getting access to treatment very quickly.
"Once patients are referred to the clinic as an outpatient, I can discuss any problems they may be having and with the support of my team arrange for appropriate tests and treatment '“ where possible on the same day.
"In many cases this early identification of the problem and speedy treatment prevents the patient's condition from deteriorating or requiring a stay in hospital."
Referral to the new Rapid Access Clinic can be made by GPs and health professionals working in the Bognor Regis area. Patients who have questions about the care provided at the clinic can call 01243 623662.
