Little Common Farmers' Market and those at Bexhill and surrounding area are providing the launch-base for Clean And Pure.
The group say the products they use work just as efficiently as petroleum-based cleaning agents. They have the added advantage that their purity makes them ideal for families with children or adults who suffer from allergies.
The group plan to import a container-load of the American-made products a month - but on a carbon-neutral basis thanks to participation in a tree-planting offset scheme.
