Summerfields Business Park will be torn down and replaced by one two-bed and 22 one-bed flats, plus 10 three-bed houses after Hastings Borough Council’s planning committee gave it the green light.
The former registry office near Horntye Park was vacated earlier this year and now developers can start building the homes first unveiled in October.

The hall will seat 122 people and the shop front will be turned into a lobby with a café.
Council officers recommended approval partly as it will bring life back to a disused space.
The committee also granted permission for a telephone box outside St Leonards Warrior Square railway station, and allowed the deadline for the legal agreement to be completed in relation to the 208 homes set to be build near Holmhurst St Mary, off The Ridge.
