New Yorker, Kurt, mounts Sept 11 tribute
NEW YORKER Kurt Winkleman paid tribute to those who died in the attack on the World Trade Centre through a heart-felt display in his shop window.
Kurt was born and bred in New York, and on moving to Bexhill in 1999, opened a hairdressers, the name of which was a tribute in itself: Hair Concepts of New York, Cooden Sea Road.
He worked in and around the World Trade Centre for 22 years.

It had quite a profound effect on me - it's just something that never goes away, it's always on your mind.
"I am going back to see New York as soon as possible."
