Charities crying out for that helping hand
Fresh from being nominated as one of the Herald and Gazette’s Community Stars, Littlehampton disabilities charity Enable Me is looking for its own band of community stars to bolster its ranks.
The small charity, based in Bayford Road, runs a host of after-school and youth clubs for both disabled and able-body young people in the town.

Hide AdIt is hunting for a passionate and enthusiastic person to become a workshop presenter. The role would see the presenter delivering disability awareness courses to schools and workplaces.
Enable me is looking for someone with an inspirational story to tell and who would feel comfortable working with children and presenting in a group setting then please get in touch.
The charity is also looking for youth club assistants, van drivers and handy men to help out.

The charity, based in the Rudford Industrial Estate, Ford, offers a lifeline to disabled and elderly residents who can’t use public transport by running a series of community buses and transport services.
n Retail assistants are needed to help out at a fundraising store in Littlehampton which is generating cash for one of the county’s much-needed hospices.

Tasks may include cleaning and keeping the shop up to standard; operating the shop till; stock sorting and using a steam press.
n St Bridget’s Leonard Cheshire Disability in Ilex Close, Rustington, needs a person to help keep its disabled residents as active as possible.
The residential home is appealing for a volunteer to lead an activity session for residents, which could involve board games, music and news reviews.
