VOLUNTEER COLUMN: New members needed to assist with local fundraising

They need to recruit some new members to bolster the membership.
Members would be required to assist at local fundraising events throughout the year such as fetes, carnivals and Christmas collections.

Club meetings take place at Worthing Rugby Club on the first Tuesday of each month but other events can take place at any time throughout the year.
Volunteers are required to help maintain the garden area at St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School.
Tasks will include general weeding and strimming and some planting and watering.

Hide AdBasic garden skills/knowledge is required, as well as the ability to perform light to medium out-door tasks.
Cancer United is a local community support group for anyone whose lives have been affected by cancer, whether patients or their family or friends.
They are there to help people whenever they need from diagnosis onwards, providing a place to share information and get help and advice about treatment options and coping with treatment.
As well as providing a place to share information so that members may benefit from peer-to-peer support and get help and advice about treatment options and coping with treatment; their main mission is to help people focus positively on moving forward with their lives whilst offering a variety of complimentary therapies and fun activities.

Hide AdWith this in mind, their major focus at present is on the upcoming project ‘C U Fitter’, for which they are fundraising in various different capacities, so that they may build a specialised gym to begin an innovative cancer rehabilitation programme for members through exercise and fitness, as having a strong mind and body are vital for anyone in recovery.
A volunteer fundraiser is required to help them raise the funds needed to put this project in place.

Hide AdDaybreak Family Group Conference are looking for individuals who might be interested in supporting the work they do by becoming volunteer advocates for children or vulnerable adults in FGC meetings.
The role of the volunteer advocate will be to empower children or vulnerable adults to enable them to fully participate in the Family Group Conference.
By finding creative and innovative ways that they feel comfortable to have their say, you will allow their views to be put across and heard.
Their views could be represented in a variety of ways and you can help to make sure that they are represented in the way that they wish.
