LETTER: Catastrophic housing growth

Those of us who live in this area have, in recent years, already seen an unprecedented growth in the number of houses that have been built, the great majority of which are on greenfield sites. We have consequently witnessed the catastrophic effects this has had on both the environment, in terms of species loss, and also in the quality of life, because of the strain that this larger population has placed on the local infrastructure.
This rush to develop the Mid-Sussex, has already had an adverse impact on the quality of life for the great majority, and I will support any proposals that aim to mitigate this damage.
