LETTER: More interested in clear-up rate

Hang on a bit, did you say recorded, as in written down?
With 95 per cent of ‘close to 100,000 crimes’ recorded accurately, it means that ‘only’ 5,000 were recorded inaccurately.
Apart from the seemingly, to me, irrelevant red tape involved in measuring the accuracy of recording, I think that the general public, me included, would be far more interested in their crime clear up percentage rather than celebrating the accuracy of their joined up writing.
