A27: surely local input's valuable?

With the Highways England saying that an ‘Options Selection’ for the road could be made as early as November this year, it seem very unlikely residents who will be affected will be able to have any say on this option selection process until the general public consultation in spring 2017.
It is our opinion by not involving the residents, who will be affected by an option, at an early stage, Highways England are missing the valuable opportunity of gaining from their first hand knowledge of local opinion.

We now join with Mr Coales in calling for the Herald to give the future of the A27, and the important gateway to our town, more coverage in a similar manner as their sister title The Chichester Observer did regularly over the past three months in the matter of the Chichester A27 northern bypass.
