Hymns complaint

SUNDAY evening hymn singing was started in the 1960s and has been held at or near the De La Warr Pavilion, namely the terrace or the Colonnade, ever since.

That is, until this year, when the trustees of the Pavilion have decreed in their wisdom that it is to be banished to the east end of the seafront.

This hymn singing is an act of Christian witness, which should be taking place centrally where the most people may have an opportunity to see and hear and join in if they wish.
