LETTER: Fantastic care
During a cystoscopy the doctor discovered a growth in the prostatic urethra.
Two days later I attended a pre-assessment clinic and by Friday, July 3, I was in the operating theatre.

Hide AdIt is too early to say if the treatment has been completely successful but I would like to take this opportunity to praise the quality of the Worthing NHS.
As you can see I could not have been treated faster.
However, it was not just the speed but the quality of the treatment I received.
I have calculated that by the time I left Chanctonbury Suite I was cared for by 21 people.
Of these, 11 were foreign born (Poles, Bulgarians, Spanish, Russian, etc.).
All of them, without exception, were fantastic.

Hide AdThe last time I spent a period of time in hospital was six years ago when my wife was dying of cancer.
Although overall the treatment was good there were issues.
In my opinion, the quality of care at Worthing Hospital has improved immensely and the staff deserve all the credit for this achievement.
I hope that next time a reader considers complaining about the number of foreigners in this country they consider the contents of this letter.
It is the presence of these foreign doctors and nurses that enables the NHS to provide a service that enables us to say we live in a civilised society.
