LETTER: Support cadets

He would have been advised that the cost to replace the flag would be £300 and there is no funding for it.
The officers at the air cadets unit give a lot of their free time to support these young children.

Hide AdThey are taught basic survival skills and how to look after their uniform, which I may add, is always smart and in perfect order.
The cadets and officers also give their free time to support the community.
At our annual firework display the cadets freely assist in the crowd control.
They also support Burpham Fete and assist the traffic control there.

Hide AdThey also support Remembrance Sunday and are turned out immaculately to march and they all respect the armed forces every year and will continue to show their support for our brave men and women.
The cadets would love to have a beautiful new flag to display and they were quite upset to have someone write about their disgust so publicly.
We try to teach our young cadets respect and they are so well behaved and enthusiastic about their displays and performance so please, in future, have the same respect for what they do and support these young cadets.
Please feel free to donate towards a new flag so it does not cause further offence in the future.
